Role Overview

The Deputy Manager will play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence, project delivery, and team performance within the IT organization. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, people management, and strategic execution to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards

Act as a bridge between senior management, clients, and technical teams

Oversee daily operations, resource planning, and workload distribution

Mentor, guide, and evaluate team members to enhance performance and skill development

Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, quality frameworks, and security standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements

Review project plans, budgets, risks, and mitigation strategies

Support pre-sales activities including technical discussions, estimations, and proposals

Track KPIs, prepare performance reports, and present insights to leadership

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend adoption where relevant

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

Proven experience in people management and stakeholder coordination

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Experience with project management tools and reporting dashboards

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

8+ years of experience in IT operations, project management, or delivery roles

Prior experience in a leadership or deputy managerial role is highly desirable

Exposure to enterprise applications, cloud technologies, or digital transformation projects

Certification in PMP, Scrum Master, ITIL, or similar is an advantage
