Job Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role focuses on achieving business targets while maintaining store standards, inventory control, and team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth functioning.

Ensure store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and brand standards are maintained.

Handle store opening and closing procedures.

2. Sales & Performance Management

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Analyze sales reports and implement strategies to improve performance.

Drive promotions and upselling activities.

3. Team Management

Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.

Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance.

Conduct performance reviews and motivate the team to achieve targets.

4. Customer Service

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.

Build long-term customer relationships.

5. Inventory & Stock Control

Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.

Prevent stock loss, pilferage, and damages.

Coordinate stock audits and maintain accurate records.

6. Cash & Compliance

Oversee cash handling, billing, and daily cash reconciliation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ Graduate in any discipline (MBA/Retail Management preferred)
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience as a Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
✅ Strong leadership and team-handling skills
✅ Good communication skills (Tamil required; English preferred)
✅ Sales-driven and customer-focused mindset
✅ Knowledge of inventory management and billing systems

Preferred Skills

Experience in retail (apparel, FMCG, electronics, or lifestyle)

Basic computer knowledge (POS systems, MS Excel)

Ability to work flexible shifts and weekends
