Job Summary
The Export Sales Manager will be responsible for driving international sales, developing new markets, managing key accounts, and ensuring export compliance. This role involves identifying growth opportunities, building strong relationships with overseas clients, and achieving revenue targets for the company’s international business.
Key Responsibilities
1. International Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new international markets and clients.
Manage and grow existing overseas accounts.
Achieve sales targets and revenue growth for export markets.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
2. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas buyers, distributors, and partners.
Address client queries, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery.
Provide after-sales support and maintain customer satisfaction.
3. Export Documentation & Compliance
Handle export documentation, customs clearance, and shipping processes.
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams for smooth order execution.
4. Strategy & Reporting
Develop and implement export sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as required.
5. Coordination & Team Management
Collaborate with marketing, production, and supply chain teams to meet client requirements.
Guide and mentor junior sales staff or export coordinators if applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, or related field
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in export sales or international business
✅ Proven track record in achieving export sales targets
✅ Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
✅ Knowledge of export documentation, shipping, and customs regulations
✅ Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
✅ Ability to travel internationally as required
Preferred Skills
MBA in International Business / Marketing
Experience in specific sectors like FMCG, textiles, engineering, or manufacturing exports
Fluency in English and additional foreign languages is a plus
Exposure to international trade fairs and B2B export platforms
