Job Summary

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the organization, managing financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting financial planning and analysis. The role involves supervising accounting staff, coordinating audits, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Operations

Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial statements.

2. Team Supervision & Coordination

Supervise and guide accounting staff, including accountants and clerks.

Assign tasks, review work, and ensure timely completion.

Conduct training and mentoring for junior team members.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Provide financial insights to support business decisions.

4. Compliance & Audit

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.

Coordinate internal and external audits.

Prepare and submit statutory filings (GST, TDS, income tax, etc.) on time.

5. Process Improvement

Streamline accounting processes and ensure efficiency.

Implement best practices in accounting and reporting.

Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.

6. Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and government authorities.

Provide financial reports and explanations to management and stakeholders.

Support cross-functional teams with financial insights and guidance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CA/ICWA part-qualified or qualified preferred)
✅ 3–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
✅ Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and taxation rules
✅ Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
✅ Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
✅ Excellent communication and team management skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Exposure to ERP systems and MIS reporting

Knowledge of payroll management and statutory compliance

CA/ICWA qualified or pursuing certification
