Job Summary
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key customers, driving revenue from assigned accounts, and ensuring long-term business partnerships. The role focuses on strategic account planning, sales growth, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Key Account Management
Manage and grow assigned key accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Build strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
Act as the primary point of contact for key customers.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets from key accounts.
Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion.
Prepare and present sales proposals, pricing, and negotiations.
3. Account Planning & Strategy
Develop and execute account plans aligned with business objectives.
Analyze customer performance, buying patterns, and market trends.
Coordinate internal resources to meet customer requirements.
4. Customer Coordination & Service
Ensure timely order processing, delivery, and issue resolution.
Handle customer escalations and ensure high satisfaction levels.
Coordinate with supply chain, finance, and operations teams.
5. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and MIS for management.
Track KPIs, revenue performance, and account health metrics.
Provide market and competitor insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✅ Graduate in any discipline (MBA/Marketing preferred)
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B or B2C sales
✅ Proven experience handling key or strategic accounts
✅ Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
✅ Ability to meet targets and manage large accounts independently
✅ Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
Preferred Skills
Experience in FMCG, telecom, pharma, retail, or industrial sales
Experience working in Bihar or eastern India markets
Strong understanding of regional customer behavior and channels
