Job Summary
The IT Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and systems, minimizing downtime and providing reliable technical support to users.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Infrastructure Maintenance
Maintain and monitor desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripherals.
Perform regular system checks, updates, and preventive maintenance.
Ensure high availability of IT systems and minimal downtime.
2. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
Handle service requests and incidents within defined SLA timelines.
3. Network & Systems Support
Support LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and internet connectivity.
Assist in server administration, backups, and data recovery.
Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for issue resolution.
4. Security & Compliance
Ensure antivirus, patches, and security updates are applied.
Monitor system security and follow IT policies.
Assist in audits and compliance activities.
5. Documentation & Asset Management
Maintain IT asset inventory and system documentation.
Prepare daily/weekly maintenance and incident reports.
Track AMC, warranties, and vendor contracts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
✅ Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience in IT maintenance or IT support roles
✅ Strong knowledge of Windows OS and basic Linux
✅ Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting
✅ Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
✅ Experience with backup and antivirus tools
✅ Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
Knowledge of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure basics)
ITIL certification (advantage)
