Job Title: Assistant Manager – Export

Location: Kerala

Reporting To: Export Sales Manager / Head of Exports

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – Export supports the Export Sales Manager in managing international sales, handling documentation, coordinating shipments, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role ensures smooth export operations and contributes to achieving sales targets for international markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Export Sales Support

Assist in identifying new international clients and business opportunities.

Support the Export Sales Manager in negotiating terms and pricing with overseas clients.

Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

2. Documentation & Compliance

Prepare and verify export documents such as invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, certificates of origin, and LC documents.

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.

Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners for timely shipments.

3. Coordination & Logistics

Track shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure timely dispatch.

Coordinate with production, warehouse, and supply chain teams to meet client requirements.

Handle shipment-related queries and resolve operational issues.

4. Reporting & Analysis

Maintain records of export orders, client interactions, and shipment status.

Prepare periodic sales reports, shipment reports, and MIS for management review.

Analyze sales trends and provide input for improving export performance.

5. Customer Service & Relationship Management

Address client queries and complaints professionally.

Assist in maintaining strong relationships with overseas distributors and partners.

Participate in trade fairs, virtual meetings, and other promotional activities if required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Commerce, or related field
✅ 2–4 years of experience in export operations, international sales, or related roles
✅ Knowledge of export documentation, customs, and logistics processes
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Proficiency in MS Office and ERP / CRM tools
✅ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

MBA in International Business or Marketing
