Job Summary

The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering IT projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that technology solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.

Develop detailed project plans and track progress against milestones.

Manage end-to-end execution of IT projects (software, infrastructure, or digital initiatives).

2. Team & Stakeholder Management

Coordinate with internal teams such as developers, testers, system admins, and business users.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients or internal stakeholders.

Conduct regular status meetings and provide project updates.

3. Budget & Resource Management

Estimate project costs, manage budgets, and control expenses.

Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.

4. Quality & Risk Management

Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.

Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues; resolve or escalate as required.

Ensure adherence to organizational processes and best practices.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain project documentation, plans, and reports.

Prepare MIS, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.

Ensure smooth project closure and handover to operations/support teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering or related field
✅ Proven experience as an IT Project Manager
✅ Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies
✅ Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Trello, etc.)
✅ Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
✅ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
✅ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Preferred Skills

PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certification

Experience in ERP, CRM, cloud, or enterprise systems

Exposure to client-facing project delivery

Knowledge of risk and change management
