Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Economics Faculty to teach Economics-related courses for management programs at our Pune campus. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, contributing to academic development, and supporting the institution’s teaching, research, and industry engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Academic Delivery

Teach courses such as Managerial Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Business Economics, and Applied Economics for MBA / PGDM programs.

Develop course outlines, lesson plans, case studies, and teaching materials aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.

Use experiential learning methods, case-based teaching, and real-world business examples.

Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, presentations, and projects.

Student Engagement & Mentoring

Mentor and guide students on academic and career-related matters.

Support student research projects, internships, and live industry assignments.

Academic Administration

Participate in curriculum development, academic planning, and accreditation processes (AICTE, UGC, NBA, AACSB – as applicable).

Contribute to academic committees, examinations, and institutional activities.

Research & Development (Preferred)

Conduct research and publish in reputed journals or conferences.

Participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and seminars.

Engage with industry for guest lectures, MDPs, and consultancy (if applicable).

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics.

NET / PhD preferred as per UGC / AICTE norms.

Prior teaching experience in a management institute is an advantage.

Experience

0–3 years: Assistant Professor / Lecturer

3–8 years: Associate Professor

8+ years: Professor
(Experience criteria can be adjusted as per role and regulatory norms.)

Skills & Competencies

Strong conceptual clarity in economics with managerial application.

Ability to link economic theory with business decision-making.

Effective communication and classroom engagement skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, LMS platforms, and digital teaching tools.

Research orientation and academic writing skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in case writing or case-based teaching.

Industry exposure or consulting experience.

Familiarity with outcome-based education (OBE) frameworks.
